A moment for you. Wherever you are.

Meet Give Yourself a Moment, my wellbeing app for iPhone and iPad. Short guided audio practices, created and voiced by me, for a pause in your day.

24 original practices, free to use. No account or subscription required.

I’m Luke Crookes, and this is another way to explore the quiet, attentive approach that runs through my live sound and creative work.

You do not have to turn a pause into another achievement. The invitation is simply to take a moment and see what you notice.

Inside Give Yourself a Moment.

Six places to begin

Sleep, Rest, Calm, Focus, Create and Energy offer different ways in, depending on the moment you are in.

Sleep

Let yourself leave the day.

Rest

Stop having to continue for a while.

Calm

Settle enough to continue.

Focus

Gather yourself around what matters.

Create

Make space for something new to emerge.

Energy

Find a little movement and momentum.

These are starting points, not states you have to achieve. You might arrive tired, distracted, curious or unsure. There is no particular response you need to produce.

Make a little space for yourself

Your Library

Keep favourite practices close, ready to return to.

A few questions before you begin

How long are the practices?

The 24 original practices are approximately 1–18 minutes long. Most are under 10 minutes, with an 18-minute Deep Sleep sound bath when you would like a longer listen. Each practice shows its length before you begin.

How do I choose and begin?

Choose a Pool that fits your moment, open a practice and read its guidance. Get comfortable and press Play when you are ready. Opening a practice does not start the audio. You can choose differently each time; there is no programme to complete.

Can I return to a favourite or write a reflection?

Tap the heart to keep a practice in Favourites. Recent Moments helps you find practices again, and Reflect offers optional prompts if there is something you would like to remember. Writing is never required.

What about privacy?

Your name, favourites and reflections are stored on your device, not in a personal Tuning In cloud account. Online services deliver the practice content and may process limited technical information. Read the app’s Privacy Policy for details, including deletion and how to contact us.

This is a general wellbeing companion, not a replacement for medical or mental-health care. Please do not listen while driving, cycling, operating machinery or doing anything that needs your full attention.

The original 24 practices will remain free

The original 24 practices will remain free to use, without an account or subscription. There are no streaks or targets, and nothing starts until you press Play.

As Give Yourself a Moment grows, I may introduce optional accounts, subscriptions and additional practices to buy. These will be entirely optional. You will still be able to enjoy the original 24 practices for free, without an account or subscription.

A small part of a wider practice

Give Yourself a Moment grows from the same interest that runs through my workshops and sound work: how we arrive, what we notice, and what becomes possible when there is less pressure to perform.

Here, that interest takes the form of short guided practices for ordinary moments: before the next task, between activities, or when you want to step out of the rush for a little while.

You can also explore sound baths and Hum Baths, creative music workshops for SEND schools and colleges, or read about Tuning In and Field First.
